Windows Server 2003: Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

I recently encountered this error while updating my Windows Server 2003 to service pack 3. My box use to work normally while I’m using service pack 2, after some research the probable cause might be the antivirus software i’m using.

This error is documented in Microsoft website as kb177078.

The resolution from the said error are the following:

To resolve this behavior, increase the IRPStackSize value in the registry:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet
\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
4. In the right pane, double-click the IRPStackSize value.

NOTE: If the IRPStackSize value does not already exist, use the following procedure to create it:
a. In the Parameters folder of the registry, right-click the right pane.
b. Point to New, and then click DWord Value.
c. Type IRPStackSize.

IMPORTANT: Type “IRPStackSize” exactly as it is displayed because the value name is case-sensitive.
5. Change the Base to decimal.
6. In the Value Data box, type a value that is larger than the value that is listed.

If you created the IRPStackSize value using the procedure described in step 4, the default value is 15. It is recommended that you increase the value by 3. Therefore, if the previous value was 11, type 14, and then click OK.

Tie A Yellow Ribbon (The Story Behind)

Did you ever wonder where the Yellow Ribbon Tradition came from? Most Music Historians trace the Custom to a 19th Century Civil War Song. Reportedly the Custom comes from a Civil War story about a prisoner’s homecoming returning from Andersonville Prison. In 1973 Tony Orlando and Dawn cut their number one song of that year and their all-time classic: “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree.”

Folklore has it that the inspiration for the 1973 song came from a true incident that occurred on a bus bound for Miami, Florida. It seems that one of the passengers had just been released from prison and he was bound for home. He had written his wife and let her know he still loved her and wanted to be with her. He asked her to tie a yellow ribbon around the lone oak tree in the Town Square of White Oak, Georgia, if she still had feelings for him and wanted him to be with her. Everyone in the bus asked the Driver to slow down as they approached, there it was!

The Driver pulled over and phoned the wire services to share the story. It quickly spread throughout the country. Songwriters Irwin Levine and L. Russell Brown wrote the ballad from the news story.

The processing instruction target matching “[xX][mM][lL]” is not allowed

I recently encountered this error two days ago when I try to change my feedburner feeds to enable podcasting feeds. After adding additional wordpress plugins there it goes my feeds suddenly doesn’t seem to work. Code error creeps in our site and it has been a headache for a while. So the trouble shooting begins: First I try to resolve the error from my RSS feeds by going to www.feedvalidator.org the site give me the following solution so I followed the steps faithfully.

Solution
* PHP also uses a similar notation: . Note that the final php ?> should be omitted from all PHP code files—modules, includes, etc. The closing delimiter is optional in PHP (but not in XML), and removing it helps prevent unwanted white space at the end of files which can cause problems with your feeds.
* Check your wp-rss2.php and wp-atom.php files for blank lines outside of bracketed sections.
* Check your wp-config.php file for blank lines outside of bracketed sections.
* Check your theme’s functions.php file for blank lines outside of bracketed sections.
* One by one, disable plugins and revalidate until you isolate the one causing the problem.

So the final solution is to disable the plugins we’re using which is quite painful especially if you’re site’s layout are dependent on the plugins that you are using. So you’re solution would be either to ignore your RSS; error or do it painfully and start troubleshooting. Of course the reward would be excellent. See now my feeds are working.

We are four days short of my 1 month web statistics still the traffic doubles and that for us is awesome. Thanks to all the people visiting this site keep on coming. Although we are just updating the site once a week the responses are good. Initially the countries who visited this site since we post our first stats we’re just 17, now it jump up to 39 countries way to go, with Thailand leading the stats followed by Philippines then US, New Zealand and India those are the top fives on our list, from Google Analytics stats, and what next ?, We are still looking for ways for this site to serve the site visitors effectively ’till then; and for those who are curios just see the images. 30 Years of “SPAM”

Last May 3, 2008 marked the 30th years for spam. No not the popular canned staple food but those unsolicited email in our inboxes. Thirty years ago, the phenomenon that was to grow exponentially and become known as spam was born. But despite three decades to learn our lessons, it seems many people still get fooled in to buying products sent to their email inboxes without request.

According to Yahoo News, on May 3rd 1978, a marketer for DEC, a now defunct U.S.computer company, sent out a message to 400 email addresses. The spam, though it wasn’t known as spam then.

The industry which has grown up around the practice has changed somewhat since the 1970s, when the Internet was still the US government-run Arpanet. Which the sender in 1978 had to input each of those 400 email address individually and by hand, whereas now, the whole operation is handled remotely via bot nets.

The practice became known as spam in the 1980s, after the famous Monty Python sketch where a cafe sells Spam meat with everything. This leads a group of invading Vikings to sing the Spam song, which includes the repeating of the word Spam over and over again.
